1. RAK-Dubai Travel Time To Be Reduced
With the upgrade of Emirates Road, the travel time will be reduced by up to 45% for commuters. Especially for those coming from Ras Al Khaimah, they would pass through Umm Al Quwain and Sharjah. And the estimated cost would be AED750 million. And now the project also includes expanding the road from three to five lanes.
2. Dubai RTA Gives The First Autonomous Driving Test Permits
The first autonomous driving test permits have been granted by Dubai RTA to Baidu’s Apollo Go, WeRide, and Pony.ai. This would enable them to start with the on-road vehicle testing. And with this initiative, it marks a key step towards realising ubai’s Smart Self-Driving Transport Strategy.
3. Dubai To Soon Have Self-Driving Trucks
Taking a major step towards self-driving, Dubai might soon have self-driving trucks. Yes, as revealed by the Dubai RTA, a regulatory framework has been approved for the operation of these heavy vehicles.

4. Fine Of Up To AED100,000 For Illegal Oyster Farming
Environment Agency – Abu Dhabi recently recorded a violation that involved individuals who illegally indulge in oyster farming. Since it is a clear breach of Federal Law No. 23 of 1999, a person is liable to pay up to AED100,000 fine. Not to mention, they can also face imprisonment of no less than six months!
5. Ministry Of Hajj & Umrah Coordinates With 60 Countries
As the ministry undertakes preparations for the upcoming Hajj season in advance, the aim is to improve the pilgrimage experience. And so far, it has completed several key initiatives. And for this purpose, they’re coordinating from over 60 countries!
