Sharjah International Book Fair is back, and it has returned with some delicious news. This year, the fair isn’t limited to picking your favourite novel. The 12-day Sharjah Book Fair is set to host 35 live cooking sessions. The book fair is all ready to turn the heat up and fill the days with knowledge and flavour. From November 5 to 16, the Cookery Corner will be the place where books meet pots, pans and sizzling spices.
Sharjah International Book Fair To Host Live Cooking Sessions
Expect a feast, not a food demo. According to Gulf Today, fourteen chefs from around the world are flying in to share dishes steeped in heritage, memory, and a touch of personal flair.
Lebanese and Palestinian flavours kick off early, with Chef Hisham Assad hosting three sessions from November 7 to 9. Right after, Chef Fadi Kattan closes the festival on November 14 to 16 with his beloved Palestinian creations that taste like home.
If dessert is your love language, Lebanese Australian Chef Philip Khoury steps in on November 7 and 8 to give classic sweets a plant-based makeover that would even impress your picky chocolate-loving friend. Somalian American cookbook star Hawa Hassan brings recipes from her hit book In Bibi’s Kitchen live on November 6 and 8, giving visitors a taste of East Africa.

GCC and Asian flavours shine too. Chef Noor Murad is on from November 5 to 7, reinventing Gulf, Persian and Indian cooking with a fresh twist. Filipino chef Woldy Reyes will be from November 8 to 10 with a modern take on Filipino comfort food. Egyptian mama-of-the-people Chef Mama Wafaa cooks up nostalgia on November 14 and 15, while Indian Chef Anand George brings his signature balanced plates on November 8 and 9. Iranian, Nepali, Syrian and Nagpur flavours also get their moment through Nasrin Rejali, Rachana Rimal, Diaa Alhanoun and Parth Bajaj.
