The following is a country-by-country preview of what Ramadan will bring.

UAE: Ramadan in the United Arab Emirates is characterised by moderately good weather. Temperatures during the day will range between 26 °Cand 32 °C, which is near normal temperatures. Precipitation is to be kept minimal, approximately the same or slightly less than the average monthly precipitation, which is 8mm.

The length of fasting hours will increase gradually, starting with approximately 12 hours and 46 minutes at the beginning of the month, and finishing with approximately 13 hours and 25 minutes at the end. Anticipate hot afternoons, cool evenings and cool Suhoor times.

Other GCC Countries

Qatar: Qatar opens Ramadan on a cooler and hazier note. Cold weather, a layer of dust, and early morning fog can decrease visibility in the country. Visibility may decrease to as little as 2km or even less in some areas, particularly inland and offshore.

The winds will be light to moderate, and the sea conditions are expected to be calm. Drivers are expected to drive gently, remain in their lanes, and not to overtake all of a sudden during foggy time.

Saudi Arabia: According to Saudi Arabia, Ramadan 2026 seems to be warmer than average, especially in Makkah and Madinah. Daytime temperatures can exceed seasonal averages. Makkah is around 1°C hotter, and Madinah up to 1.2°C warmer.

Rain is predicted to be lower than normal, meaning it will be a dry month with light showers. Prayers and schedules of Umrah will require additional focus on hydration and heat when planning outdoor prayers.

Oman: Winter has not yet packed up in Oman. Jabal Shams has just been noted at -1.1 o C, with an interior range of 9 °C to 15 °C. The active northwesterly winds persist in driving the cooler air to cover a series of governorates, which is affecting the day and night temperatures.

Bahrain: Bahrain welcomes Ramadan with fog in the early morning and humid nights with visibility of less than 1000 metres in certain regions. Temperatures have dropped to as low as 12 °C, though afternoons will slowly become warmer as spring gets closer. Suhoor times remain cool, and there might be mist or light fog at night.

Beyond The Gulf Countries

Egypt: In Egypt, the morning of Ramadan is cold and even colder before it warms up in the afternoon. Cairo is assumed to be around 21 °C during the day, with lows as low as 12 °C during nights.

The country temperatures might drop significantly during the night, and the conditions of the rough Mediterranean sea with the waves rising to a height of three metres will persist by force of strong northwesterly winds.

Kuwait: February cold snap gives Kuwait a reprieve. The days of Ramadan will be warm but not hot and sunny with cool nights. By mid-month, the temperatures should have cooled down so that people feel more comfortable before it gets hot once again in early March.

Be careful in low-visibility mornings, drink water wisely after Iftar, and look for the weather gradually pick up as Eid comes closer.
