UAE Ambassador to India Abdulnasser Alshaali said that Indians in the UAE are not just residents; they are vital to the country’s culture as mentioned in a report by Hindu.
In the Emirates, there are almost four million Indians who reside and work. They make contributions in various fields, including engineering, healthcare, education, and construction. Officials have emphasised that the UAE respects these individuals not only for their jobs but also for their roles in daily life.
The nation is still operating normally in spite of the current regional circumstances. Schools are still open, hospitals are operating normally, and there has been no disruption to supply chains. Daily routines are uninterrupted for the majority of residents.
Strong Ties Between India and the UAE
The current circumstances have also highlighted the close ties between India and the UAE.
At the initial stages, when the international community had not yet issued any formal answers, the leaders took part in the diplomatic dialogue. This initial contact was an indication of close relations between the two nations.
The United Nations also passed a resolution denouncing the attacks on the Gulf nations, which serves as another confirmation of the role played by India as a strategic ally. In the case of the UAE, this support was very timely and did not go unnoticed.
