UAE is not just a country, but it’s a community of people who truly care for each other. From Dubai to Ajman, every emirate of the UAE has some gems of people who shine bright during difficult times. And a great example of this happens to be Dubai. Acts of kindness and solidarity can be found everywhere, especially during trying times. And during the last couple of days, several homegrown businesses, whether they were restaurants or businesses offering free services, they all stepped up. These efforts showcase the resilience and the generosity of the people living in the nation.
Homegrown Restaurants Step Up During Challenging Times
Several homegrown restaurants stepped up to support people through free offerings. Pickl, which is famous for its delicious burgers and bites, also lent a hand during the challenging times. It invited followers on social media to add other local businesses in comments, so that they could surprise them with their burgers. On the other hand, Eleven Green, which is another famous burger joint, is giving a free meal to Hala taxi drivers if you arrive at one of their branches.
The free meal is truly something they would appreciate. Querida, a Mexican joint in the heart of Barsha, also opened its doors to the community, offering free Wi-Fi and a space to unwind with some television. It offered a complimentary burrito, beverages and dates to everyone who was breaking their fast during the month of Ramadan at Iftar.
Wellness Community Offering A Slice Of Tranquillity
The wellness community also came together to offer a slice of tranquillity to chaotic minds. Melia Desert Palm, which is a renowned wellness sanctuary in Dubai, opens its doors to the community. Every Thursday in March, they offered a complimentary work and sound healing session. This session would begin at 10 AM at the wellness studio; however, the spots were limited. Immersive.ae also offered free online sessions, making for a gentle space where people could slow their breath and settle their body, as they reconnected with themselves. Collective Exhale, which is another holistic healing space, was offering a free series of Nervous System Reset sessions for women. Held every Thursday at 8 PM, the ladies who signed up were in for practices, which were inspired by breathwork, somatic therapy, subtle energy healing, and nervous system regulation

Free Entry To Attractions To Fazaa Membership
Not just the hospitality industry, but other services also lent a hand when it came to supporting people. For instance, Finalytics, which is a Dubai-based Finance‑as‑a‑Service company, offered free life workshops on managing cash flow.
In fact, it was also during this time that the Ministry of Family announced the launch of grant-free Fazaa discount memberships for all resident families in the UAE. This was in line with the Year of Family 2026, giving households across the country access to a wide range of lifestyle benefits initiative was a message of gratitude and appreciation for every family that chose the UAE as its home.
However, it’s not just these free services, but even attractions stepped up, offering free entry to the people. From Aquaventure and Dubai Miracle Park, to House of Hype and Lost World Aquarium, many offer free entry for the people.
So with the community stepping up, it’s not wrong to say that Dubai is truly one big family that comes together during challenging times, lifting up spirits and by just being there for everyone else. And honestly, this is exactly why we love the UAE.
