UAE Launches The 5th National Grant Programme For Culture & Creativity; Details Inside

As announced by the Ministry of Culture, it has launched the fifth edition of the National Grant Programme for Culture and Creativity. This is one of the flagship national initiatives of the UAE, which is dedicated towards supporting creatives. Not to mention, it also allows them to develop impactful, cultural, and creative projects.

As revealed in a report of the Gulf News, the launch reflects the Ministry of Culture’s ongoing commitment towards fostering an environment for national talent that enables them. Not to mention, they are also provided with opportunities that transform innovative ideas into tangible projects. Offering an integrated framework for supporting creatives, this is done through four categories. Yes, this includes creation and production, distribution, local participation, capacity, development, and international travel and mobility.

Supporting Projects Across A Wide Range Of Fields

It should be noted that these categories support projects that span a wide range of fields. We are talking about writing and publishing, film & television, music, performing arts & theatre, video games, visual arts & design, and cultural heritage. It should be noted that the submission for the fifth cycle is going to be accepted until June 26th.

Beneficiaries Offered Comprehensive Support

Through the programme, beneficiaries are offered comprehensive support. These have been designed to help them develop their creative projects. Not to mention, it also includes letting them produce cultural works and facilitating participation in several cultural events and platforms. Ever since its inception, the programme has seen growing interest from the creative community. As such, 26 creatives benefited in the first cycle, which increased to 43 creatives in the second, and reached 44 in the third. In December 2025, 41 beneficiaries in the fourth cycle were announced.

As mentioned by Mubarak Al Nakhi, who is the Undersecretary of the Ministry, it reflects the commitment towards empowering creatives to make meaningful contribution towards the cultural and artistic landscape.
