But what is Suhail Star? It is scientifically called Canopus, which is the second brightest star in the night sky after Sirius. It can be seen after dawn above the Southeast Horizon in the central parts of the Arabian Peninsula from August 24th onwards. The star can be spotted about 40 minutes before the sun rises. It is close to the south-eastern horizon, and this appearance follows an absence of about three and a half months after it disappeared below the southwestern horizon in early May.
