UAE Visa: Applicants To Now Submit External Cover Page Of Their Passports? Here’s What We Know

According to a new circular, applicants for UAE entry permits will now have to submit a new document. This document is basically a copy of their passport external coverage. As revealed by Amer Centres in both Dubai and Abu Dhabi, here’s all you need to know about the update relating to the UAE permit.

UAE Permits Now Require Passport External Cover?

As revealed in a report by the Gulf News, applicants for UAE entry permits will now have to submit a copy of their passports’ external cover. According to the report, this was revealed to them by the staff at the Amer Centres that had received a circular from the immigration department. This new requirement has been introduced in the circular, and it is mentioned that it is a mandatory document for all entry permit applications. In fact, the requirement is also applicable to all nationalities and visa types.

Official Statement From ICP Awaited

However, it’s worth noting that an official comment from the ICP is awaited. Khaleej Times also mentions how an executive from Amer Centre had confirmed this notification, which they had received via email. Although it’s not clear why the amendment has been made, some say that it is to clarify any confusion that the authorities may have.
