The campaign goes beyond the distribution of leaflets. On the ground, there are officers communicating face to face with families, tourists and organisers of the camp. They are responsive to queries.
Leaflets and posters with essential contact numbers and the specifics of the services are being distributed in the locations of popular winter destinations. Such materials will assist visitors in taking action in case of an emergency.
It was also through the police teams that visitors received small gifts as a souvenir. Although it is a small gesture, it is an indicator that the officials are not just imposing but establishing relationships.
