The Abu Dhabi Civil Defence Authority has partnered with the Emergency, Crises and Disasters Management Centre – Abu Dhabi. Together, they have launched the ‘Community Responder’ application. This is available on the official app store, and the move marks the second phase for ‘Our Community is Ready’ campaign. It aims to strengthen community readiness and improve emergency response across the emirate, and hear all about it.
Abu Dhabi Launches Community Responder App
As revealed in a report of the Gulf News, this app is going to activate the volunteer work system in Abu Dhabi. It would enable residents to contribute directly towards protecting lives and property. Moreover, as mentioned further, it would offer a smart platform to train volunteers through accurate programmes. This would ensure a faster response time and smoother coordination with authorities in case of emergencies.
What Does This App Do?
It should be noted that this application is a part of a general framework for joint action on community participation and volunteering in support of the Civil Defence Authority. Developed in collaboration with Ma’an, which is the Emirates Foundation’s SANID Programme and ‘We Are All Police’ initiative, it is an integrated approach. Yes, it creates a sustainable system that connects volunteers with relevant authorities. Not to mention, it also improves efficiency and ensures that their incident response.

Residents Asked To Register On The App
It should be noted that authorities have asked all the residents to register on the Community Responder app. Not to mention, they will have to take an active role in supporting the Abu Dhabi Safety System. Through this initiative, it aims to set a benchmark for community emergency response.
