For months, most of the conversation around Wynn Al Marjan Island has been about the scale of the project. The tower is getting taller, and the rooms are taking shape. The bridge connecting it to the rest of the emirate. Now there’s finally something guests will actually be able to do once they arrive.
Wynn Al Marjan Island Reveals Its First Big Entertainment Experience
The upcoming Ras Al Khaimah resort has announced its first entertainment attraction, and it’s not a concert venue, nightclub or another theatre with rows of seats and a stage at the front.
Wynn has partnered with British theatre company Punchdrunk for an original production that will debut when the resort opens in 2027.
Punchdrunk is the company behind Sleep No More, the famous production that turned Shakespeare’s Macbeth into a dark 1930s mystery and let audiences wander through the performance rather than simply sit and watch it happen.
This new project won’t be a copy of that show, though. The company is creating an entirely new production exclusively for Ras Al Khaimah, making it Punchdrunk’s first-ever Middle East show.
You Can Watch The Story Or Walk Straight Into It
Perhaps the most interesting part is how guests will experience it. If traditional theatre is more your thing, there will be standard seating available.
But if you’d rather move through the production yourself, you’ll also be able to choose a roaming experience that takes you through different rooms and hidden corners of the venue while the story unfolds around you.
For many people, that will probably feel less like watching a show and more like accidentally wandering into one.

The Theatre Is Taking Inspiration From Old Hollywood
The venue itself is leaning heavily into Art Deco design. Wynn says visitors can expect touches inspired by classic Hollywood glamour alongside influences from 1970s Las Vegas.
While Everyone Talks About The Theatre, The Resort Keeps Growing
Behind the scenes, construction is moving quickly. The main tower has now reached 299 metres in height, and structural work has passed the 71st floor roof level.
Also, most of the building’s exterior panels are already in place, giving people a much clearer idea of what the finished resort will eventually look like. Inside, work continues across more than 1,500 rooms, suites and residences.

Getting There Will Be Easier Too
Wynn Bridge, the new connection linking the resort to major UAE highways, including E311 and E611, is continuing to move forward as well.
Once complete, it should make journeys from Dubai and other emirates far more straightforward for visitors. The resort is still targeting a 2027 opening.
And while there’s still work left to do, the picture is becoming a lot easier to imagine now. For many people, this was always going to be one of the UAE’s biggest hotel openings.
