Zayed International Airport in Abu Dhabi is absolutely a wonder. The moment travellers step into the airport, they are left awestruck by its beauty and the multitude of offerings that leave them spoilt for choice. However, this is only possible when people are boarding planes or often going to a particular destination. But it so happens that when someone is travelling or coming back after a long trip, they might not have the time to explore all that the airport has to offer. So, what if you tell you that you don’t need to travel to visit the airport and explore all of its offerings? That’s because it’s true, and here’s all about it.

Now Visit Zayed International Airport Without Needing To Travel

Zayed International Airport recently announced that it has opened its doors to the public for a limited time. So citizens and residents can explore the multitude of facilities without having to travel. This initiative is running for eight weeks, as revealed in a report of the Gulf News. Visitors can step inside the usually restricted areas of the airport to enjoy all its retail outlets, leisure experiences and dining options. Offering a rare glimpse into the space, which is generally reserved for departing passengers, it’s an opportunity that you certainly wouldn’t want to miss.

Is There Any Process That Must Be Followed?

As revealed on the website, there is a structured process for this. Visitors need to register in advance so that they can obtain a digital security pass in PDF format, which would be complete with a QR code. This pass can then be scanned at the checkpoint stops and exit points throughout the visit. Once the guests leave, they must return the security badges to the designated areas. Authorities have mentioned that failure to do so can affect eligibility for future participation. However, visitors are not allowed to carry or use personal electronic devices, such as laptops or tablets, for security purposes.

One can make the same changes only via direct contact with the airport, and they will require a new pass to be issued. As it happens, the airport is also offering up to four hours of free parking, provided visitors spend a minimum of AED200 within the premises and collect a validation voucher before leaving.

Doesn’t it sound absolutely fantastic? Well, this is an experience that you certainly wouldn’t want to miss. After all, the airport is home to some of the finest options when it comes to dining and shopping that you wouldn’t want to miss.
