Dubai Municipality revealed that public spaces are all set for a major transformation, as mentioned in a report by the Gulf News. Yes, there are exciting new experiences on the cards for parks and public spaces. From fresh entertainment programmes at neighbourhood parks and public spaces to even a vibrant Ramadan Souq 2026, here’s all you need to know about this development.

Whether it’s fresh entertainment programmes at the neighbourhood parks and public spaces or a vibrant traditional Ramadan Souq plan for 2026. Soon, residents and visitors can expect a host of engaging activities that will redefine leisure and community experiences across Dubai. Yes, the Dubai Municipality has unveiled the plans to activate select public facilities with innovative programmes. They will also be welcoming the return of beloved seasonal markets along with heritage-focussed experiences that celebrate Emirati culture.

Ramadan Souq 2026 To Bring New Traditions

As further mentioned in the post on X, the Ramadan Souq 2026 is one of the most anticipated editions. This will bring a vibrant new tradition to the Souq Al Ras in Deira. For those who are wondering, it’s located on the Old Municipality Street. With thousands of visitors expected at the heritage location for the new edition of Ramadan Souq, it will feature traditional clothing, perfumes, and incense. Along with these, dates, spices, dried grains, and other products that reflect the spirit of Ramadan and Emirati heritage will also be there.

Not only this, but there will also be entertainment, which includes live performances by Emirati folk artists, unique heritage products, adults’ competition, fun play areas for kids, a corner for traditional foods, workshops, children’s entertainment, special events and workshops, plus celebration of Mid-Sha’ban.

With traders and entrepreneurs having until December 20th to register for this unique Ramadan experience, this is something visitors wouldn’t want to miss. After all, last year also Dubai had its first ‘Ramadan at the Park’ initiative, which unfolded at the Zabeel Park.

Ongoing Events At Dubai Public Parks

Offering a high-quality leisure experience, it should be noted that there are ongoing winter markets. For instance, Souq Al Freej, which is one of Dubai Municipality’s most prominent annual community and recreational initiative, is underway for its fourth season. The market has become a winter destination for communities and was launched at Al Warqa Park 3. Now it will move to Al Barsha Pond Park from December 19th to 28th, and finally conclude the season at Blossoms Park in Nad Al Sheba from January 2nd – 11th, 2026.

This is operational daily from 4:30 PM to 10 PM and features commercial kiosks for vendors, a kiosk for resident home-based projects, and 10 food and beverage kiosks, so that people can have a great time during their visit. The Farmers’ Souq is also running every Saturday and Sunday at Al Quranic Park in Al Khawaneej and this is happening until February 8th, 2026. This is the fifth season of the souq and has brought together 41 Emirati farmers, featuring fresh vegetables, fruits, reproductive dates and honey that are grown in Dubai.
