If you’ve ever tried catching Dubai’s New Year’s Eve fireworks from the shore, you already know the struggle. The crowds, the traffic, the “I swear I booked a spot!” arguments and the whole chaos. So this year, skip the chaos and take the water route. RTA has unveiled Cruises to watch fireworks in Dubai, and we can’t wait to see the response.

RTA Rolls Out Special NYE 2026 Fireworks Cruises With Front-Row Views Across Dubai

Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) is bringing back its special New Year’s Eve marine trips for December 31, 2025, as mentioned by Gulf News, and they’re looking like the smartest way to welcome 2026. This year-end, it’s going to be all about clear views, fresh air, and zero stress while the city lights up around you.

A Night Cruise With Serious Views

RTA’s marine services are known for their smooth routes and scenic rides, but on New Year’s Eve, they’re stepping up. These special trips give passengers prime views of fireworks bursting over Burj Khalifa, Atlantis The Palm, Bluewaters, and JBR, basically all the hotspots minus the shoulder-to-shoulder crowds.

All marine trips start between 10:00 pm and 10:30 pm, with every route wrapping up at 1:30 am. Enough time to enjoy the fireworks, the skyline, a couple of selfies, and that sweet post-midnight breeze.

Dubai Ferry Is The Popular Pick

The Dubai Ferry is easily the fan favourite, and this year’s lineup departs from three major stations:

  • Marina Mall Marine Transport Station (Dubai Marina)
  • Al Ghubaiba Marine Transport Station
  • Bluewaters Marine Transport Station

Fares keep things simple:

  • AED350 for Silver Class
  • AED525 for Gold Class
Kids aged 2–10 get 50% off, while the tiny tots under two hop on for free.

Water Taxi Is Best For Groups

If you’re rolling with a big crew, the Water Taxi might be your best bet. Trips depart from Marina Mall Marine Transport Station, and you can book the entire boat for AED3,750.

It fits up to 20 passengers, and yes, there’s a wheelchair space too.

Abras: Traditional Vibe, Top Views

If you want something more classic and cosy, abras are running from:

  • Al Jaddaf
  • Al Fahidi
  • Al Ghubaiba
  • Marina Mall

Fares are a friendly AED150 per person, with free rides for kids under two. These abra trips follow the same timings as the Ferry and Water Taxi.

RTA introduced these extended NYE trips to give residents and visitors an easy, scenic way to enjoy Dubai’s biggest night. And honestly, it’s worth every dirham.
