If you’ve ever wished your dog could join you for a proper beach day, here’s some good news. Dubai is hosting Barkfest by Feastival, a four-legged fiesta that pet parents rave about every year in the Emirate. And this time, it’s heading to Barasti Beach for a festive edition.
Barkfest Hits The Beach: Dubai’s Furry Families Get A Festive Day Out At Barasti
For the first time, the Feastival team is taking its much-loved event onto the sand. On Saturday, 13 December, Barasti Beach will flip into a family and dog-friendly zone from 1 pm to 9 pm. Get your dogs sprinting across the shoreline, humans sinking into sun loungers, and festive vibes rolling in. With dedicated off-leash areas for both tiny rockets and gentle giants, everyone gets space to play safely. There are cabanas, floating platforms, a kids’ zone and yes, actual swimming in the sea for dogs. It’s going to be a paradise for furry friends and their parents.
The Festivities Start Early And There’s Freebies, Too
If you’re the type who shows up early for good parking, here’s even more incentive: the first 100 dogs will get branded dog towels, by Royal Canin and The Petshop. Trust me, they’ll come in handy once your furball decides to roll in the sea and sand.
The famous Dog Show runs from 4 pm to 6 pm, judged by Aimee Orme from The Petshop. The categories? Equal parts adorable and hilarious: Scruffiest Dog, Merriest Tail Wagger, Best Trick, Best Puppy, Golden Oldie, Dog Most Like Its Owner (the true wildcard), and plenty more.
Every dog walks away with a rosette, and the winners score goodies from Royal Canin and The Petshop.
Santa, Snow, And A Christmas Glow-Up
It’ going to be a merry time but in November. Santa decided to make an early appearance in Dubai. If your fur baby loves Santa and Xmas vibes, well reach the spot between 3:30 pm and 6:30 pm for free festive photos courtesy of Cosmopet. And yes, there will be “snow” on the beach, Carol singers and a Christmas tree lighting at 7 pm. That’s how you wrap up the evening with all the feels.

Shopping, Snacking, And Treat-Hunting
Get ready to scroll across more than 20 stalls that will pop up for the Christmas Market, featuring pet brands, lifestyle goodies, and festive finds. You’ll spot names like Furchild, Paw Haven, Pretty Paws, PupNut, OSOQT, and many more. Meanwhile, Barasti will keep the energy going with its full à la carte menu all day.
