Dubai doesn’t really do quiet football seasons. And with the 2026 FIFA World Cup coming up, the city is already getting into match mode, just on a different time zone this year. Since the tournament is happening in the US, match timings are all over the place. Late nights, early mornings, and even breakfast kick-offs. That’s where McGettigan’s steps in again. They’re setting up a proper fan zone at Bla Bla by McGettigan’s after the Reem Mall announcement.
Dubai’s FIFA Fan Zone Is Back At Bla Bla With Late Matches And Big Screens
Basically, if there’s a match happening, it’ll be on. All 104 of them.
This isn’t just a few TVs in a corner. Think big screens, proper sound, and a crowd that actually reacts to every goal, miss, and VAR call.
Also, tickets start at AED60. But here’s the thing: that amount goes back into food and drinks. So you’re not really losing anything.
There’s going to be live entertainment on key match days too. Not constant noise, but enough to keep the vibe going between games. For many, that’s half the fun.
England Fans, You’ve Got A Spot In Dubai Now!
If you follow England, you’ll probably feel right at home here.
McGettigan’s is hosting the official England Supporters Club during the tournament. So expect a dedicated section, flags, chants, and maybe even a bit of heartbreak (it is England, after all).
That said, it’s not exclusive. Fans of any team can walk in and find their corner.
Food That Matches The Timings
Now this part matters more than people admit. Because matches aren’t all at normal hours, the food menu is shifting too. Early games? Breakfast options. Late-night fixtures? Proper bites to keep you going.
Sounds simple, but it makes a difference when you’re watching a 5 am match and don’t want just crisps.
A Bit Of History, A Bit Of Expectation
This isn’t McGettigan’s first time doing this.
Back in 2022, during the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, their fan zones were packed. Especially when Lionel Messi and Argentina made that final run.

Expectations Are Already High
This time, it all kicks off on June 11, with Mexico facing South Africa late at night. Then it’s non-stop football till the final on July 19.
For many in Dubai, that’s more than a tournament. It’s weeks of planning sleep around matches, meeting friends midweek, and pretending early mornings are fine.
