There is one notable change that will be observed by the fans visiting the Dubai World Cup this year. Jason Derulo, who was to headline the after-race concert, will no longer perform in the 2026 version.
Jason Derulo Show Cancelled For Dubai World Cup 2026 Due To Travel Disruptions
It was announced on March 18 on the official channels of the Dubai Racing Club. According to the report by the Gulf News, organisers have affirmed that the present travel problems within the region have made it impossible to get the singer to Dubai to perform on March 28.
Headline Act Cancels Weeks Before Show
The concert by Derulo had already been announced only a few weeks before, and it made him the biggest attraction for the milestone 30 th anniversary. His performance was to be the final performance of the night at the legendary Meydan Racecourse, which is popular for combining world-class racing with concerts featuring big-name artists.
That slot is now uncertain.
No replacement artist is named by the organisers. They too have not posted whether the post-race entertainment programme will be further amended.
Event Will Go On As Planned
The Dubai Racing Club has affirmed that the 30th Dubai World Cup will be held as it is scheduled on Saturday, March 28, 2026.
That consistency matters. The event is one of the most sought-after horse racing events in the global horse racing scene, with the elite horses, jockeys and trainers making appearances across the world. Millions of dollars of prize money are at stake, and the races are still the centre of attention.

An Anniversary Of An International Event
The version of this year comes with extra importance. It is the 30 th anniversary of the first Dubai World Cup, which is an indicator of the distance the event has travelled.
What started as a local race has now become an international one. It has international media, high-profile guests, and a vast number of viewers today that go way beyond the racing community.
The fact that there is no main act might be disappointing to certain fans, but the magnitude and importance of the event will not be affected. The races are incentive enough to attend, as is the atmosphere, to many.
