The celebration starts from 6 pm on December 31, 2025, to 8 am on January 1, 2026. Get ready to witness a soulful countdown that swaps noise for nature and screens for sky-watching.
The celebration unfolds within the Faya Paleolandscape, a protected area recognised by UNESCO for its deep archaeological significance, as mentioned in a report by The Gulf Today. Post sunset, the desert sky takes over with a clear and open view of the cosmos. Guests arrive to welcome bites before settling into a fully prepared desert camp. Tents, sleeping bags, and air mattresses are all provided to make it comfortable and memorable for the guests.
Under The Starry Skies At Mleiha
The night’s highlight is guided stargazing led by Mleiha’s astronomy team. Guests get telescopes to spot planets and deep-sky objects while learning how ancient travellers once navigated these lands by stars alone.
Between sky sessions, live oud music sets the vibe with a relaxed tone that follows the Tanoura dance performance. Don’t forget the fire show that sets anticipation leading to the final countdown to begin 2026.
Activities And Entertainment For All Ages
Open stations, starting 6.30 pm to 10 pm, will keep guests engrossed. Families can enjoy henna art, gentle camel rides, and hands-on fossil activities led by the education team. There’s even a chance to create a fossil replica. A soft archery offers the adventure bit to the otherwise serene experience at Mleiha.
Dinner runs from 10 pm to midnight, with a buffet featuring Arabic favourites alongside international dishes.
