Ras Al Khaimah is not doing the casual routine this year-end but instead is going big, loud, and unapologetically magnificent. The northern emirate, Ras Al Khaimah, has unveiled plans for the largest New Year’s Eve (NYE) fireworks display ever, and yes, there’s a Guinness World Record attempt involved right in. If you thought last year was impressive, this one aims to cross that mark across the region.

This year’s fireworks story draws inspiration from strength, renewal, and Ras Al Khaimah’s steady rise as a global events destination, as mentioned in a report by Arabian Business. The idea goes beyond fireworks. Organisers are blending pyrotechnics, lasers, and illuminated drones to create a bewitching, choreographed visual narrative across the night sky.
The main show will stretch across an astonishing six kilometres, running from Marjan Island to Al Hamra. That alone places it among the largest fireworks displays anywhere in the world.
2,300 Drones And A Firework First
More than 2,300 drones will take part, including pyro drones and laser-equipped units. Expect them to form massive shapes and patterns mid-air. These formations will sync with fireworks below, turning the coastline into one continuous stage.
Then comes the headline moment. As the clock hits midnight, Ras Al Khaimah plans to launch the largest single firework ever attempted. It’s the kind of detail designed to grab Guinness officials’ attention and keep spectators glued to the horizon.
Two Shows, One Long Night Of Celebrations
The emirate’s New Year’s Eve programme features two separate fireworks displays. The first takes place at 8 pm above Corniche Al Qawasim.
The main event follows at midnight. This is the full 15-minute signature show over Marjan Island and Al Hamra Bay. Here, drones, lasers, and fireworks are set to collide in a timed spectacle.

Festival Vibes From Afternoon To Midnight
Festivities kick off early at the free-entry Ras Al Khaimah New Year’s Eve Festival in Al Hamra. Gates open at 2 pm, with live performances, food trucks, and carnival-style attractions running throughout the day.
An international line-up of artists will take to the main stage. Parking has been planned carefully to avoid chaos, which generally happens during a free event. Multiple zones will be available, including a dedicated area for caravans and campers. Visitors must register their vehicles in advance via raknye.com, which determines parking access and provides entry and exit details.
