DEKA, a global fitness brand, is introducing its functional fitness race with high energy to the UAE. The action touches down at Skydive Dubai on March 28 (Saturday), and the tickets are already available.
DEKA Fitness Challenge Dubai 2026: Tickets, Prices and What You Should Know
A report by the Gulf News reveals that the race is the formal introduction of DEKA in the region, and it is the first opportunity for local athletes to participate in its organised hybrid racing format.
What Is DEKA and Why?
DEKA is the work of the authors of Spartan; however, it is not mud crawling and barbed wire. It is practical fitness racing based on performance and advancement.
The format is simple. Ten fitness zones, all of which were separated by a 500-metre run. It adds up to five kilometres of running, and you jump over the hurdles of strength and endurance to overcome the challenges.
The system is made to be quantifiable and reproducible. It means that you can follow your time, work on it and even see progress.
DEKA also has its intentions to introduce events in the UAE and throughout the GCC year-round, such as DEKA STRONG and DEKA MILE within gyms, but bigger races of DEKA FIT in iconic destinations.
What To Expect At Skydive Dubai
The first one in the UAE will be the start of the DEKA FIT format. Imagine you sprint 500 metres, hit a fitness station, then lift or grind over it and run again. Repeat that cycle ten times.
Athletes are allowed to compete individually or in two-person groups. Team entries enable friends, training partners or gym buddies to share the workload and challenge one another through the course.
There will also be a cash prize pot that elite competitors will race for.
Race Timings And Price Of Tickets
The spectator passes, and the family waves come free, and this means that the supporters are able to line the course and to absorb the atmosphere.
The following is the breakdown of race pricing:
Age Group (7 am – 10.30 am): AED 360
Elite Men (11 am): AED 390
Elite Women (11.30 am): AED 390
Age Group 2-person teams: AED 320
Elite 2-person female teams (6 pm): AED 350.
Mixed teams of 2 people (6.20 pm): AED 350.
2-person male teams at the elite level (6.40 pm): AED 360.
It is highly encouraged that early sign-ups be made. The fitness community in Dubai is very dynamic, with a new challenge coming in.
