Eid evenings in Bahrain are about to get a little brighter, literally. Marassi Galleria has announced a special Eid programme packed with live music, family activities and what organisers are calling Bahrain’s first-ever Eid light show.
Eid Nights At Marassi Galleria Will Include Lights, Music And Family Fun
The waterfront destination is expected to turn into one of the busier spots during the holiday week, especially after sunset when the shows begin. And honestly, timing-wise, it makes sense. Most people head out later in the evening during Eid anyway, once the heat settles down and family visits are done. Running daily from May 28 until May 31, the show will follow this schedule.
Three Light Shows Every Night
Visitors will get three chances each evening to catch the display.
The timings are:
- 7 pm to 7.30 pm
- 8.30 pm to 9 pm
- 10 pm to 10.30 pm
That spread-out schedule will probably help families avoid rushing in all at once. Also, it gives people enough time to grab dinner, walk around or sit by the waterfront between shows.
While organisers have not shared every detail yet, the event is being promoted as the Kingdom’s first Eid-themed light show experience. For many families, especially those with children, that alone will likely be enough reason to make the trip.
Beyond Your Average Light Show
The celebrations are not stopping with visual displays.
According to the announcement, visitors can also expect live entertainment, music performances and festive activities happening throughout the Eid period. The idea seems to be creating a full evening atmosphere rather than a short one-time show.
And that matters because Bahrain’s malls and waterfront spots have increasingly become social gathering places during holidays, not just shopping destinations.
People stay longer now. They eat, walk around, meet friends and spend the entire evening there. Marassi Galleria appears to be leaning into that trend heavily this Eid.

Eid Events Are Becoming Bigger Across The Gulf
Across the Gulf, Eid celebrations have become much more event-focused over the last few years. Shopping centres and lifestyle destinations are putting together bigger public experiences instead of relying only on discounts or decorations.
But Bahrain has been a little quieter compared to cities like Dubai or Riyadh when it comes to large-scale seasonal entertainment.
Whether the light shows become a yearly tradition or just a one-off Eid attraction remains to be seen. Either way, plenty of people will probably head there just to see what Bahrain’s “first Eid light show” actually looks like in person.
