The cinema giant has joined hands with Dubai Economy and Tourism (DET) to launch ‘Emirati Chefs x VOX’, a limited-edition menu that puts homegrown Emirati culinary talent front and centre, right inside the theatre. Available from 29 July, this collaboration is a big, delicious deal for anyone who loves discovering local flavours while catching the latest blockbuster.
A Menu Built By The UAE’s Brightest Culinary Stars
The three-dish lineup exclusively available at THEATRE by VOX Cinemas has some serious heritage. Guests can dig into a refreshing Date & Chami Cheese Salad and slow-cooked meat Short Ribs, both crafted by UAE Twin Chefs Abdulrahman and Maitha Al Hashmi, the youngest qualified Emirati chefs in the country and across the Middle East.
The menu concludes with a decadent Emirati Sticky Date Pudding from renowned pastry chef Ahmad Al Fardan, who honed his skills in Dubai and Switzerland before returning to share his talent at home. Every dish pays homage to authentic Emirati flavours, reimagined for an upscale cinematic dining experience.

This collaboration is aligned with Dubai’s Economic Agenda D33 that offers Emirati culinary entrepreneurs a high-profile platform to demonstrate their ingenuity to thousands of film fans. It’s a smart strategy, honouring the UAE’s food traditions and highlighting its burgeoning creative economy.

The Launch Was A Star-Studded Affair
To celebrate the launch, VOX Cinemas hosted an exclusive Chef’s Table preview at THEATRE, Mall of the Emirates, on 28 July, timed alongside the premiere of Spider-Man: A Brand New Day. Media, food creators, and industry tastemakers got the first taste of the new menu before its public rollout.
The ‘Emirati Chefs x VOX’ menu will be available for a limited time at THEATRE by VOX Cinemas locations in Dubai like Mall of the Emirates, City Centre Mirdif, Nakheel Mall, and Wafi Mall.
