Here’s a thought: what really makes a French macaron unforgettable? Is it the delicate snap of its shell, or the silky richness of its ganache? Maybe. But we’d argue there’s an even more spectacular touch, enjoying it under the moonlight, in the shadow of a 4,500-year-old wonder of the world. For the very first time, Ladurée Pyramids is open after dark. From 6 PM to 1 AM, guests can savour French classics while the pyramids glow softly in the evening light. To be honest, it feels like stepping into a movie scene.

Ladurée Pyramids Opens After Dark for Dinner Under The Stars

Reservations are a must after 6 PM; don’t even try winging it. Guests enter through Fayoum Gate 1, park at the Visitor Centre, and are guided into a space where French elegance meets Egyptian history. Get ready to relish the dishes between 8 and 11 PM when the pyramids are bathed in golden light. Every glance out the window feels cinematic. Every bite tastes sharper. In practice, the scenery somehow makes the macarons sweeter.

Menus That Match The Moment

Ladurée has prepared two set menus for the evening:

  • Roi Soleil (EGP 1,650): Chicken or Salmon Vol-au-Vent and French toast so indulgent it almost excuses all your past bad decisions. Of course, it comes with macarons — those pastel little gems make perfect companions for stargazing.
  • Othello (EGP 1,450): Slightly lighter but just as elegant. Grilled salmon or vegetable Vol-au-Vent, finished with two macarons for company while you soak in the desert sky.

This evening isn’t merely a meal, it’s an experience. The glowing pyramids, the cool night air, and delicate French sweets all come together to create something quietly unforgettable.
