Dubai’s dining scene gains a new chapter this month. Say hello to Orilla, Chef Saradhi Dakara’s first solo concept in Dubai. You can locate the new restaurant at the Jumeirah Village Triangle community. The restaurant is set to draw its soul from the Mediterranean coastline. The name itself means “shore” in Spanish. Get ready to experience a perfect blend of cultures, experiences and ingredients.
Orilla Opens In Dubai With MediterrAsian Flair
Chef Saradhi spent nearly two decades contributing to Dubai’s restaurant landscape. He has been renowned for travelling across Mediterranean towns to understand their flavours and rhythms. Those travels now echo through every corner of Orilla, from its dishes to its design.
A Sustainable Space Designed With Purpose
Orilla has been created to feel familiar from the moment guests step inside. The interiors carry stories stitched into every detail. From the aged-gold accents to soft lily-green ceilings and Mediterranean tiles, all this will remind you of the Mediterranean shores. The mosaic flooring mix of natural wood and rattan brings an inviting warmth to the space.
The layout moves fluidly between restaurant, bar, and lounge. The atmosphere is built to offer a soulful feel that makes the venue suitable for a long meal and a casual drink.
A MediterrAsian Menu With A Personal Pulse
At the heart of Orilla stands its MediterrAsian menu, where Mediterranean simplicity meets Asian finesse. The menu draws directly from the chef’s own journey, offering delights like warm focaccia with Gruyère matched with smoky olives and whipped tarama. Then there’s charred octopus, served alongside sourdough spuma, caper dust, and a bright salsa verde. For light plates, expect fennel and artichoke salad in truffle vinaigrette, mascarpone ice cream with Beluga caviar and a drizzle of fine olive oil.
Sustainability Woven Into The Build
The sustainability angle at Orilla is a fine result as the owners have worked closely with homegrown producers and artisans to shape the space. You’ll notice recycled oyster shells in a custom mosaic counter and other design details. Reclaimed materials and mindful sourcing sit at the heart of the build.
