Salt Bae’s Nusr-Et Steakhouse Dubai To Close For Two Months Ahead Of Major Renovation

Salt Bae’s most talked-about Dubai restaurant has closed for a facelift. Yes, the famous Nusr-Et Steakhouse at Mina Seyahi, Dubai, has gone quiet, at least for a couple of months. From 15 August until 15 October 2025, no steaks will sizzle there, no golden tomahawks will be paraded to tables, and Salt Bae’s signature sprinkle will have to wait.

The team calls it a “complete renovation,” part of what they’re labelling the brand’s Next Chapter. If you’ve been following the Nusr-Et story, you’ll know this isn’t just about a lick of paint. Earlier this summer, they gave both the Bodrum and D-Maris restaurants in Turkey a similar overhaul. Now, it’s Dubai’s turn.

Why The Break?

And Dubai isn’t just another pin on Salt Bae’s world map. According to the group, this branch is the most successful Nusr-Et anywhere. It’s where queues formed outside, celebrities flocked inside, and thousands of Instagram reels were born. In short, Dubai made the Salt Bae persona bigger than ever.

What Happens In The Meantime?

If you’re craving your fix, you won’t be left stranded. The DIFC location will keep serving up the brand’s signature cuts and sides during the break. Think tenderloin, wagyu, and those larger-than-life platters that scream for a photo. The group made it clear that regulars should head there until Mina Seyahi reopens in October.

This closure isn’t happening in isolation. Nusr-Et has been busy expanding beyond its Turkish roots, with new restaurants announced for Milan, Mexico City, Ibiza, and Rome. The Dubai renovation shows they’re not just chasing new cities but also reinvesting in the ones that already work. It’s a “don’t forget your crown jewel” moment.

What To Expect In October

The official line? A renewed design, refreshed atmosphere, and the same flair everyone knows. If you read between the lines, it sounds like they’re aiming for a more elevated dining experience, still dramatic, still theatrical, but perhaps sleeker. Will there still be tableside salting and gold-covered steaks? Almost certainly. Would Salt Bae ever give that up? Doubtful.

For now, loyal diners will have to sit tight. The group’s statement ended with a thank you: “We are deeply grateful for your understanding, loyalty, and continued patronage during this brief intermission.” In other words, they know Dubai loves this restaurant, and they plan to keep it that way. When October rolls around, expect more than a reopening. If Salt Bae’s track record is anything to go by, it’ll be a relaunch, loud, shiny, and ready to dominate your social feeds all over again.
