Something special is simmering in Saudi Arabia this winter. King Abdulaziz Centre for World Culture, popularly known as Ithra, has taken its first big step into outdoor food festivals. Ithra has launched its first-ever food festival, and the vibes are addictive.
Ithra Food Festival 2025: Free Outdoor Feast, Live Cooking, and Global Flavours
The inaugural Ithra Food Festival brings music and the unmistakable smell of food. All happening in outdoor gardens, you get to witness stalls, laughter and the aroma of spices and grill flowing in the air. The festival is taking place near the iconic Ithra building.
The food court setup is relaxed and curated for wandering, where people walk, pause, snack, repeat.
Ithra Turns Its Grounds Into A Food-Lover’s Playground With Live Cooking & More
The heart of the festival beats in its open-air kitchen. Four focused cooking workshops run across the event, each lasting three days. These sessions include tacos, pizza, steak, and sushi. It’s powered by Filmmaster, which lets professional chefs cook live while explaining techniques to help you whip up one after you go home.
Want to be part of this workshop? You just have to register. No need of pass to enjoy the show. Watching chefs slice, char, and plate in real time. Get ready to witness a culinary show without ads.
Ten Food Stations, Zero Boredom
The festival is offering a variety. Expect ten food stations covering Saudi, Indian, Egyptian, Mexican, Japanese, Lebanese, Italian, and more cuisines. The idea is to blend multiple cuisines so everyone get to taste a little of everything instead of searching that one perfect dish.
Food Carts Bring Street-Style Comfort
Spread across the venue, food carts focus on quick bites, desserts, and drinks. The lineup includes Sculpture, La Dedos, Legend, Whoa Tea, Crepes Des Alpes, Taco Ville, Witchcraft, Mama Nini, Pattis, and Saje. This layout encourages slow dining. Just eat, walk, and repeat.
Location, Dates, And Timings You’ll Want To Save
The Ithra Food Festival 2025 takes place at the outdoor gardens of Ithra in Dhahran.
The festival runs until Saturday, January 3, 2026. Gates open daily from 4 pm to 11.30 pm, making it ideal for post-work plans or relaxed evenings with friends and family.
