Food festivals always make us lose control, and Riyadh’s Saudi Feast Food Festival is joining that club. It’s back with bigger, bolder, and proudly rooted in the Kingdom’s culinary soul. Now in its fifth edition, it is taking place at King Saud University, and the turnout has been magnificent. People have been walking in from day one, and the energy seems like everyone waited for this one for a long time.

Saudi Feast Food Festival Returns To Riyadh With Bigger Flavours, Crowd And Fun

One of the first places people made a beeline for was the Heritage and Culinary Arts Zone, as mentioned by Arab News. This part of the festival features 13 stations, each representing a different region of Saudi Arabia. Think of it as a tasting tour across the Kingdom.

What makes it even better is the authenticity. Visitors showed up early just to watch live cooking sessions that genuinely displayed coming straight from grandmother’s kitchen. It feels warm, nostalgic, and honestly, a bit emotional for many.

Tradition Meets Today

The Culinary Arts Commission managed to modernise the way Saudi cuisine is presented without stripping away the heritage. That’s what makes it special and they have received praise for the same to maintain balance, but they pulled it off. The organisation, the layout, the flow of activities, it all felt well thought out.

A Market That Felt Like A Treasure Hunt

The heritage market was another crowd magnet. One can observe aisles lined with local honey, olive oil, baked treats, traditional spices, dairy products, and even natural fragrances that smelled like Taif roses and jasmine. Families walked around with bags full of handcrafted items,  carrying the charm of Saudi craftsmanship.

A Taste Of Thailand In Riyadh

This year, the festival surprised everyone with a Thailand zone. Thai chefs flew in with their signature dishes, unique ingredients, and fresh agricultural products. It added an international flavour to an already packed event and gave visitors a fun break.

The festival also hosted the Gourmand Awards, honouring top culinary books and food media from more than 80 countries.

This year’s Saudi Feast Food Festival reminded them why food brings everyone together.
