People living in Dubai already know one thing about JLT: you never really run out of places to eat there. One minute you’re grabbing ramen beside the lake; the next thing you’re eating tacos, Greek food or burgers just a few buildings away. Now the area is getting its own food festival called Taste JLT, and honestly, it feels overdue.
Taste JLT Is Turning Dubai’s Favourite Food Neighbourhood Into A Two-Week Food Trail
The event runs from 29 May until 14 June and brings together restaurants from across Jumeirah Lakes Towers with special set menus starting from AED 50.
For foodies, this basically means an excuse to try places they’ve kept saving on Instagram but never actually visited.
Diners Can Try Different Spots Without Spending Too Much
One reason people love JLT is that the food scene feels less flashy and more personal compared to some other parts of Dubai.
A lot of the restaurants there were built by small business owners, chefs and homegrown brands that slowly became city favourites over the years.
Participating restaurants will offer curated two-course and three-course meals, making it easier for diners to sample different cuisines without committing to huge bills.
The participating restaurants are Bait Maryam, Maiz Tacos, Mythos Kouzina & Grill, Daikan Ramen, Hawkerboi, Pitfire Pizza, Canary Club, The Mad Greeks and many others.

JLT’s Walkable Layout Makes The Experience Easier
For many residents, JLT works because it does not feel overly complicated.
The area is walkable with waterfront paths, clusters full of cafés and restaurants, and plenty of hidden spots. That’s probably why the festival suits the neighbourhood so well.
Instead of focusing on one big venue, Taste JLT spreads the experience across the district itself. Diners can move from one restaurant to another while exploring the area at their own pace.
Also, with summer slowly creeping into Dubai, indoor food hopping suddenly sounds like a solid plan.
Diners, here’s your chance to eat well without overthinking where to go next.
