Recently, Dubai brewed with luxury, rarity, and a dash of global spotlight with the hand-poured V60 brew. But the record will be broken this November with a new coffee from the same ultra-rare Panama Esmeralda Geisha coffee beans. Julith, Dubai’s very own speciality coffee brand that made headlines in August for its record-breaking purchase of the Nido 7 Geisha. And it is finally ready to pour its first cup in a once-in-a-lifetime tasting experience. The world’s most expensive coffee is quite exclusive and hence has only 20 kilograms available in the world, and the first pour has been reserved for the Dubai Royal Family.
The World’s Most Valuable Coffee Is Making Its First Pour In Dubai
Calling Nido 7 Geisha “rare” is like calling the Burj Khalifa “a tall building.” According to the press release, it is grown in micro-lots under incredibly precise climate conditions in Panama, and it represents decades of craftsmanship and science meeting nature in perfect harmony.
Judged by 22 of the world’s top coffee experts, it scored an almost mythical 98 points at the Best of Panama competition, the world’s most respected coffee auction. No coffee had ever crossed 96.5 until this one came along. Ever heard of any coffee being perfect? Well, Nido 7 can change your perception about coffee as it was awarded a perfect 100 score by Six international judges.
As Expensive As Gold!
Julith secured this coffee’s 20 kg for AED 2,218,785 at the 2025 Best of Panama Auction. The Nido 7 Geisha attracted 549 bids overall elite roasters and collectors around the world. This is the highest price ever paid for coffee in an auction.
Dubai’s Big Moment On The Coffee Map
This isn’t just a win for Julith, it’s a defining moment for Dubai’s booming speciality coffee scene. Of the 50 winning lots at the auction, Dubai roasters snapped up six coffees scoring 90+ points, including lots won by Archers Coffee and The Espresso Lab. Add in the Guinness World Record, Dubai already holds for the most expensive cup ever sold.
More Than Just A Price Tag
Julith isn’t treating Nido 7 like a novelty stunt. This coffee compares to the level of a rare vintage champagne. It’s meant to be contemplated, appreciated, and remembered. To honour its significance, a portion has been set aside for His Highness.
