Tokyo’s Michelin-Starred Ramen Legend, Konjiki Hototogisu Opens Its 2nd Location In Dubai!

If you thought Dubai had already seen every possible food trend, think again. Dubai’s ramen scene is about to level up with the arrival of Konjiki Hototogisu, Tokyo’s Michelin-starred ramen brand. Fresh from the success of its Mall of the Emirates branch, which bagged the Michelin Bib Gourmand in both 2024 and 2025 — the cult favourite is now expanding to Palm Jumeirah with a brand-new outlet inside Nakheel Mall’s luxury extension.

And let’s be honest, Dubai loves nothing more than a food brand with a reputation. When it’s paired with Japanese precision and a touch of Michelin glamour, you can bet it’ll be a hot ticket from day one.

Opening with a soft launch on 3rd September 2025, the new branch isn’t just another restaurant squeezed into a mall. The team has created a warm yet modern dining space that feels true to Tokyo’s ramen culture, while still offering Dubai’s crowd the sleek, comfortable environment they expect.

Konjiki Hototogisu, A New Home For Ramen Lovers In Dubai

The star of the menu is, of course, Konjiki’s famous clam-and-chicken broth ramen. It’s not your run-of-the-mill noodle bowl. The ramen comes crowned with a slick of truffle oil, a touch that feels fancy at first but makes complete sense once you’ve had a spoonful. Beyond the hero bowls, the kitchen dishes out Japanese-style small plates, handcrafted desserts, and drinks that cut through the richness just right. And truthfully, it’s not just a meal. It’s the whole ritual, slurping, pausing, swapping bites across the table, until you catch yourself already plotting the next visit.

Family-Friendly, But Still Serious About Food

Here’s where things get even more interesting. Unlike its Mall of the Emirates branch, the Palm Jumeirah outlet comes with a soft play garden for children aged three and above, plus a dedicated kids’ menu. For families, this is a game-changer. Let’s face it, not every fine-dining or “foodie hotspot” in Dubai is exactly welcoming to kids.

Konjiki seems to have figured out the formula, create a space where parents can relax over a bowl of ramen while little ones are entertained nearby. Importantly, they’ve managed to do this without diluting the culinary quality. That balance is rare, and it could set a new benchmark for international brands entering Dubai.

Chef Yamamoto’s Big Day

The official grand opening is set for 23rd September 2025, and ramen lovers have a reason to mark their calendars. Chef Yamamoto, the man behind Konjiki’s global success, will be making a special appearance. Known for elevating ramen into an art form, he’ll be showcasing his craft live in Dubai.

You’ll find the restaurant on the first floor of Nakheel Mall’s luxury extension, right beside Arabica and Brunch & Cake. That makes it a convenient stop whether you’re a ramen aficionado chasing authenticity or a Palm resident looking for a reliable family spot.

Final Thoughts

With this second UAE branch in Dubai, Konjiki Hototogisu isn’t just adding another pin to the map. It’s reinforcing Dubai’s status as a global food city, one where Michelin-level dining is never out of reach. After all, where else could you spend a Saturday slurping truffle-infused ramen while your kids play nearby?

The brand’s promise is simple: excellence, one bowl at a time. And if their past track record is anything to go by, this new outlet will become a fixture on Dubai’s must-visit food list.
