“I was 100% myself,” she said to Bianca, adding that there was “no acting” involved at any point during the show.
Iryna believes that honesty is what helped viewers connect with her. She admitted that before the show aired, she expected a wave of criticism because she is naturally outspoken and expressive. In real life, she often felt people found her personality “annoying” or “too much”.
However, once the episodes were released, the response surprised her.

While Iryna still reads negative comments and even finds some of them entertaining, she says the love far outweighed the hate. In fact, she revealed that around 95% of her audience today consists of women.
She also recalled watching herself on screen and wondering if audiences would accept her personality. But a lot of viewers liked the fact that she seemed transparent and honest. According to Iryna, several people told her they felt an emotional connection with her because she wasn’t pretending to be someone else.
Looking back, she says she’s happy with how everything turned out.

Apart from talking about her growing popularity, Iryna also spoke about a recent personal setback. She said that her Instagram account was hacked when she was at the gym and she got anxious when she kept getting notifications that her account was blocked. Though she got her account back eventually, the experience gave her a phobia of constantly checking her passwords and being more careful about online security. For Iryna, her stint on Desi Bling was not about putting up a performance. It was about showing viewers the person she is in real life. Judging by the response she has received since the show aired, staying authentic turned out to be the biggest reason audiences embraced her.
