Emirates has added another set of trophies to its collection, and this time it includes one of the biggest titles in the travel industry. The Dubai-based airline, Emirates, was named Best Airline Worldwide at the 2026 Business Traveller Middle East Awards. It didn’t stop there. Emirates also took home awards for Best First Class and Best Airport Lounge in the Middle East.
Emirates Named World’s Best Airline Again, Picks Up Three Major Travel Awards
The recognition comes from readers of Business Traveller Middle East, who voted for the winners across different travel categories. For Emirates, it’s another sign that passengers continue to rate the airline highly, whether they’re flying long-haul or just passing through Dubai.
Over the past few years, Emirates has been spending heavily on upgrading what people see and use during their journey. Hundreds of Airbus A380 and Boeing 777 aircraft are currently being refreshed as part of a major cabin upgrade programme.
Also, newer Airbus A350 aircraft are gradually joining the fleet.

What Passengers Are Actually Experiencing
That means more passengers are getting access to updated seats, improved interiors and newer onboard technology. These aircraft are already serving more than 70 destinations across the airline’s network.
For many travellers, consistency matters. Whether they’re flying to Asia, Europe or elsewhere, they’re increasingly seeing the same upgraded experience.
First Class Still Draws Plenty Of Attention
Emirates’ First Class product remains one of its biggest selling points.Passengers flying at the front of the aircraft get private suites, premium dining whenever they choose to eat and a long list of luxury extras. On the Airbus A380, travellers can even access the onboard lounge and shower facilities during the flight.
But the premium experience doesn’t begin at take-off. Customers flying in First and Business Class can access chauffeur services in many cities, priority airport facilities and dedicated lounges around the world.

It’s Not Just About Seats Anymore
Emirates has been introducing new services to make travel easier from start to finish. High-speed Starlink internet is already available on dozens of aircraft, allowing passengers to stay connected throughout their journey.
The airline has also launched a travel insurance product designed to provide extra reassurance for travellers.
Meanwhile, its route network continues to grow. Later this year, Emirates will start daily flights to Helsinki, becoming the only airline offering a year-round direct connection between Finland and the UAE.
For passengers, all of these changes add up. And for Emirates, they seem to be helping keep the airline at the top of the industry’s awards lists.
