Dubai’s weekend escape just got a little more wag-worthy. Hatta Resorts has reopened for its ninth season, and its Deluxe RV-Campers are now pet-friendly, so your four-legged friend can join the mountain getaway.
Where Your Dog Can Stay
The pet-friendly option is the Deluxe RV-Camper, a larger unit with a private bathroom, a TV, a double bed and a sofa bed that sleeps up to four, and a kitchenette. Prices start at Dhs713 per night. Outside, you get a barbecue grill, plenty of open space and views of the Hajar Mountains.
The Rules For Bringing Your Pup
There are a few conditions to note before you book. Each stay allows one dog weighing up to 20kg. Valid vaccination documents must be presented on arrival, and a waiver form has to be signed. A fee of Dhs250 per day applies for your dog.
Not Travelling With A Dog?
The resort has also added vintage campers this season, which are the most affordable way to stay. Prices start at around AED300 per night. Each restored camper van comes with air conditioning, high-speed internet, tea and coffee-making facilities, a covered front porch with seating, a fire pit and a barbecue station. The space is compact, but it works as a launch pad for whatever adventure you plan.
Things To Do In Hatta With Your Dog
Walking is the obvious start. Hatta has trails of varying length and difficulty, so you can pick a route to suit your dog’s energy. Kayaking is available at Hatta Wadi Hub, and guests staying at Hatta Resorts get a 15 per cent discount. Do note the rule that dogs must wear a life jacket and stay in the vessel, so it may not suit every pup.
For a post-hike refuel, head to Yaazar Café. It welcomes dogs of all sizes, with indoor and outdoor seating and views across the Hajar Mountains.

Since spaces and dog-friendly units are limited, it is worth confirming availability with Hatta Resorts directly, and giving notice that you are bringing a pet. The resort recommends booking only through its official channels.
Hatta is an easy escape from Dubai, and with this update it becomes one of the more practical short breaks for pet parents in the UAE. Pack the water bowl, the vaccination papers and a sturdy pair of hiking shoes, and you are ready to go.
