If you’re still waiting for last-minute flight deals, Emirates has some good news for you. The Dubai-based airline, Emirates, says travellers who book early are the ones getting tickets for lower fares, especially in Economy Class.

Want Emirates Flights With Lower Fares? Timing Matters More Than You Think

According to a report by Gulf News, Emirates has just wrapped up its busiest January ever for family travel bookings. Most Economy passengers have booked their tickets months in advance.

Early Birds Are Filling The Planes

More than 65 per cent of group bookings happened at least three months before departure. Over 65 per cent booked two months or more in advance when it came to family bookings.

That early rush helped Emirates fill aircraft well before peak holiday periods even began. This way, Emirates didn’t have to launch a sale or offer discounts to fill in the seats.

Economy Class Is Still King

Despite all the buzz around premium cabins, Economy Class continues to carry the airline’s business. In 2025, 84 per cent of all Emirates bookings across its global network were for Economy.

Families and groups made up nearly two-thirds of those passengers. These travellers aren’t chasing flashy upgrades but just in need of fair pricing, reliability, comfort, and a smooth experience.

January Is the New Booking Sweet Spot

January has quietly become one of the most important months of the year for flight sales. Residents plan around school calendars, public holidays, and long breaks, and they book early to avoid price jumps.

Family travellers leaned toward destinations like Dubai, Bangkok, Jeddah, Malé, and Mauritius. Groups showed strong interest in Dubai, Jeddah, Medina, Istanbul, and Rome.

With the UAE declaring 2026 the Year of the Family, Emirates expects this surge to reflect again later this year, especially during spring and summer school holidays.

What Emirates Bundles Into The Ticket

One reason travellers book early with Emirates is that, unlike airlines that charge separately for every add-on, Emirates includes much of the experience in the base fare.

From meals, drinks to entertainment, screens and even baggage allowance, is all part of the ticket. On newer aircraft like the Airbus A350, passengers also get large 4K screens, in-seat charging, and higher ceilings.

If January is any indication, the travellers who move first are still the ones saving the most.
