And this year, Dubai Mallathon has extended all the way to Dubai International Airport, which will be hosting a community walk this week
Dubai Mallathon Extends To Dubai International Airport
Yes, you read that absolutely right! Dubai International Airport is all set to host a community walk. It is a part of the Dubai Mallathon initiative, which is a citywide programme. It gives guests an opportunity to take part in the walking event at the busiest international airport in the world.
Two Walking Sessions To Be Hosted At DXB
On August 14th, Friday, Dubai International Airport will be hosting the walking session in batches. The first session will run from 7:30 AM to 9:30 AM, and the next one will be from 9:30 AM to 11:30 AM at Terminal 3 Concourse B. The two sessions will allow participants to join at a time that fits their journey.
Inviting travellers to join this fitness session will bring together Dubai Airport employees, those who are transferring through DXB, and community partners. In fact, participants will also have an option to join a 1.5 km or 750 m course.

Participation Is Absolutely Free
Talking about the Dubai Mallathon, this was launched by His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum. He is the Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defence of the UAE and the Chairman of the Executive Council of Dubai. This is a city fitness initiative! And it aims to help residents and visitors stay active during the hot months of summer.
Coming back to the initiative that takes place on August 14th, guests of all ages and abilities are invited who would be waiting or transiting through DXB are invited to join the walk. Participation is absolutely free, and there is no registration required either. So, make sure to head to the family zone area by gate B28 if you wish to join the walk as you travel through DXB.
