From Emirates to IndiGo, 12 Airlines Adjust Flights As Dubai Airport Schedules Remain Limited

If you’re flying through Dubai International Airport this April, don’t assume that everything is going as planned. There is still a reduced schedule, and while UAE carriers are slowly getting back to normal, many international airlines are still changing routes, times, and cancellations. Things are still changing, especially for flights that go between Europe, the US, and Asia.

12 Airlines Issue Travel Update For Dubai Airport

Dubai’s aviation hub remains open, but it’s not operating at full strength.

Emirates is getting ready to start full operations again soon, but flydubai is still only running on a limited schedule.

The bigger disruption lies with international carriers. Several airlines have paused flights, and international carriers are causing the biggest problems. Some airlines have stopped flying for weeks, while others are only flying on certain days or times.

Major Airlines Extend Suspensions

Some of the world’s busiest airlines have taken a cautious approach. Air France has suspended all Dubai flights until May 3. British Airways has gone further, cancelling routes to Dubai and nearby destinations until May 31. European carriers like KLM and the Lufthansa Group have also paused operations, with some suspensions stretching into late May and, in some cases, even October.

Some Flights Resume But With Limits

Not all airlines have grounded services.

Air India and Air India Express have resumed some routes, but they confirm schedules daily. IndiGo is also only flying a few flights, and weather problems are making things worse. Meanwhile, China Southern Airlines has restarted a few routes, but advises passengers to double-check details before departure.

Travellers’ Flexible Policies

Airlines are giving passengers more control and a bit of breathing room.

Even though some Dubai routes are still not running, Qatar Airways is letting people change their travel dates and get a refund for free. Singapore Airlines and Philippine Airlines have cancelled some flights, but they are letting people rebook or get a refund.

Some airlines, like Turkish Airlines and United Airlines, are also letting people change their plans without charging them any fees.

What Travellers Should Do Now

The most important thing is to verify before you leave.

Things can change quickly, even if your flight looks like it’s set. Airlines change their schedules every day, and you might not always get the notifications in time.
