According to a new decision taken, visit visa holders or temporary visa holders can no longer be eligible for public healthcare. Yes, with the intent of prioritising these resources for residents and citizens under the national health system, holders of such visas are excluded. As revealed in a report by the Gulf News, the policy has been unveiled as a part of its comprehensive health vision. With the aim of balancing operational efficiency along with fair access, they plan to reduce overcrowding and the pressure on such facilities.

Policy Aimed To Offer Services To Those In Need
It should be noted that the decision has been taken to ensure that there are sustainability of the healthcare system. With the aim of maintaining service quality and direct medical resources, this is being done so that these are provided to those who are most in need. It should be noted that the decision has also been taken to streamline its visa system.
The development comes at a time when Kuwait recently removed the minimum salary requirement for family visit visas. They also launched four types of tourist visas that can be applied for online. With the intention of simplifying entry for visitors, the new healthcare restriction has been implemented to clarify that such temporary residents do not get access to public medical services.
The change aims to manage both the flow of visitors and the availability of public services. This is being done to ensure that citizens and long-term residents can get priority access to healthcare.
