Qatar Airways Announces 3000 New Flights For The Winter Schedule To Singapore, Lagos & More

Qatar Airways is a Doha-based airline that hardly needs any introduction. Known for the stellar services on board, the airline has announced increased capacity to Kuala Lumpur, Lagos, Singapore, and Shanghai. Yes, this increased capacity is for the winter season in order to meet the global demand on these routes. With the increase in flight frequency, the airline aims to enhance its winter schedule. Did you know that for this, they have already introduced additional frequencies to over 15 major destinations? From Cape Town and Dublin to London and Toronto, the frequencies have increased for several destinations.

Qatar Airways To 3,000 Additional Flights This Winter

Voted as the World’s Best Airline by Skytrax in 2025 for the ninth time in a row, the airline is truly going out of its way to serve its customers. Yes, with growing demand for its travel experience, it has now introduced nearly 3,000 additional flights this year.

Frequencies For Different Years

Coming back to Kuala Lumpur, Lagos, Singapore and Shanghai, the flight frequencies are as follows:

Kuala Lumpur
The flight frequency will increase from 14 to 17 weekly flights. With additional services, there will be a better connection between Southeast Asia and Jeddah, London, Paris through Doha. This will begin on December 17th.

Lagos
From December 15th onwards until March 28th, 2026, Qatar Airways’s service to the city will increase from 10 to 14 weekly flights.

Shanghai (PVG)
From January 1st – March 28th, 2026, the service will increase from 7 to 10 weekly flights. This is going to meet the growing inbound and outbound demand from China.

Singapore
From January 12th, 2026, Airbus A380 will be deployed on select flights to Singapore. So, it will offer a mix of Boeing 777 and Airbus A350, which would be equipped with Starlink. As it happens, Qatar Airways has become the first airline in the world to operate ultra-high-speed Starlink onboard Wi-Fi for a hundred widebody aircraft.
