As the tensions escalate in the Middle East, Türkiye has gone on a fast track to evacuate the affected regions. The Turkish Embassy in Bahrain has declared a special evacuation plan, which will transfer Turkish nationals in Manama to Riyadh by bus. The action will follow the closure of Bahrain airspace due to increased military actions within the region, which left a significant number of travellers unable to travel by flight.

The Turkish Embassy Arranges Bus Evacuations Between Bahrain And Riyadh

According to the report published in The Daily Sabah, the Embassy of Türkiye in Manama stated that it will also organise bus transport in case citizens want to leave Bahrain. The buses will operate between Manama, the capital of Bahrain, and Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, where people can board international flights at Riyadh airport.

The road travel, according to authorities’ estimates, will take 6-7 hours, depending on border formalities and road conditions.

The travellers, however, have to go through a significant procedure before joining the journey. The Turkish nationals are expected to get a valid Saudi Arabia visa online prior to travelling. A visa would be required to cross the border.

Registration Requirement For Evacuation

The embassy has advised all Turkish nationals intending to take the road out of Bahrain to get registered via an official connection that has been forwarded.
After the registration, the embassy shall provide the travel instructions in detail at the email addresses provided. This will involve bus departure times, meeting points and other guidelines required.

Turkey Upsteps Diplomatic Process

Turkiye has enhanced diplomatic relations with the region and the world, in line with evacuation preparations.
Since the outbreak of the conflict, the Foreign Ministry of the country has been involved in active negotiation efforts aimed at seeking what can be done via diplomatic means.
President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan affirmed that the Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan and the Intelligence Chief Ibrahim Kalın also made contacts with their counterparts in some countries as Ankara keeps a close eye on what is happening around.
At this point, the embassy still recommends Turkish citizens in Bahrain to adhere to the official updates on social networks and stay prepared to receive additional information.
