Recently, the Indian Embassy in Abu Dhabi announced that for some categories of passport, visa, and attested applicants, walk-in service will be accessible. Indian Embassy in Abu Dhabi recently announced how walk-in appointments for select categories of passport, visa, and attestation applicants will be accepted. As revealed by Gulf News, this move aims to streamline the process for submitting applications for passport services. Moreover, it ensures quality public service delivery. Talking about this on the social media announcement by the mission, it reveals how work in appointments will be available from 9 AM to 1 PM.

The Categories Are For Some Indian Expats

These are available at all the centres that are run by the outsourced service providers Alhind Tours and Travels. This service will be operated on a first-come, first-served basis. These are available for the following categories:

  • Tatkal passport applications
  • Newborns
  • Emergency certificate (EC) applications
  • Senior citizens aged 60 and above
  • People of determination

There Are 16 ICAC Centres In The UAE

In fact, the aforementioned categories are also eligible to walk in without any prior appointment. As clarified by the embassy, those applicants who book the slots in advance through the website, https://consularsevainuae.com, will be attended to as per the scheduled time of appointment.
