UAE Travel Update: Flight Delays, Cancellations & More To Know If You’re Travelling

Yes, these relate to delays that have been reported at airports across the UAE, including Dubai International Airport, Zayed International Airport, and Sharjah International Airport.

UAE Travel Updates

Although the airlines are continuing to operate, schedules may remain subject to change. As mentioned in a report of Gulf News, some airlines have reported cancellations, and there are changes to other regional routes. For instance, flydubai and Air Arabia have reported cancellations and changes in their schedule for regional destinations. Moreover, Emirates and Etihad Airways are also continuing to operate their services. However, some individual flights might be delayed or revised.

Passengers Have Been Advised To Check The Status Of Their Flights

This development comes at a time when the UAE has also suspended flights that are operated by Iranian airlines to and from the UAE. Yes, these flights have been suspended since September 24th until further notice. So passengers have been advised to check the status of their flights before they leave for the airport. Not to mention, they must take extra time in hand while travelling for airport procedures.

Although the flight schedules may change during the day, not all of these disruptions are related to regional conflict. Some might even happen due to operational or other technical reasons. The disruptions are affecting multiple airlines and destinations. flydubai by flights to Kazakhstan, Tashkent, Moscow, and Astana are some that have been affected today. The SpiceJet Dubai-Amritsar flight has also been affected.

But several flights are seeing changes in timing throughout the day; it is advisable for passengers to check the latest updates with the airline and Dubai Airport before they leave. Moreover, travellers must also ensure that they keep extra time in hand for check-in and airport procedures. Not only UAE-based airlines, but several international airlines have also announced revised schedules for the UAE. Although some have suspended their services, there are others that are preparing to resume in the coming days. Some of the airlines that have announced resumption of services include Air France, KLM, ITA Airways, SWISS, Air Canada, and Eurowings to name some.
