It was just recently that the UAE’s five-year multiple-entry tourist visa was announced, which does not require a sponsor or a host. It is for all nationalities, and they can enter the country multiple times with no sponsor. However, the General Directorate of Identity and Foreigners Affairs mention several requirements for the visa.
Five-Year Multiple Entry Tourist Visa
Before talking about the requirements, how to apply, fees and other things, let’s take a recap of the visa. This is basically a self-sponsored visa, and it is valid for five years. It allows multiple entries and exits during this period. Visitors under this visa can stay in the UAE for up to 90 days on every visit. In fact, there is also an option to extend the stay for a further 90 days. However, it should be noted that the total time spent in the country should not exceed 180 days in a year.
What About Eligibilty?
The eligibility for this visa is quite simple. One needs a valid passport with at least six months’ validity. There should be a recent photograph with valid proof of health insurance, a round-trip ticket and bank statements that cover the previous six months. The bank balance should also show that there was at least $4000 or an equivalent amount in other currencies during the six months before the application.
What About The Fees For Visa?
These applications can be submitted through the official digital platforms and smart applications. It is available around the clock. Additionally, applicants can also complete the process through the Customer Happiness Centre and Amer Service Centres. Moreover, the application process includes – selecting the required service, uploading supporting documents, completing the application form, and even paying the applicable fees. Talking about the fees, it costs AED 3,713, which includes visa fees, service charges, and a refundable financial guarantee.

Travellers Must Monitor Their Stay
It should, however, be noted that the final costs may vary depending on the individual circumstances and if there are any additional requirements. Visa holders must not stay more than the permitted stay. Travellers will be able to monitor their entry and exit records through the travel movement app if they wish to avoid overstaying penalties.
