Cipriani is heading to J1 Beach Dubai with the launch of Cipriani Lido in 2027, marking the first time the group’s beach-focused concept will open anywhere in the UAE. The word “Lido” simply means beach in Italian. It’s bringing a slice of Venice to Dubai’s coastline.

The announcement also arrives at an important moment for the company locally.
Next year marks 10 years since Cipriani DIFC first opened its doors in Dubai, becoming one of the city’s best-known fine dining names along the way. Instead of another city restaurant, the group is taking things outdoors this time and leaning fully into the waterfront setting at J1 Beach.
Chief Executive Giuseppe Cipriani said Dubai has been an important market for the business over the years and that the company was excited to bring a new version of the Cipriani experience to the city.
Beach Days Will Come With Bellinis And Italian Classics
Guests can expect a restaurant, bar, private dining rooms and outdoor terraces spread across the site. There will also be a dedicated Bellini Bar and Lounge, which feels very on brand considering the cocktail was invented at Cipriani’s original home in Venice.
Also planned is a social lounge inspired by Socialista, the group’s private members concept built around conversation, drinks, desserts and long evenings that somehow become even longer.

It’s Another Sign Of How Competitive Dubai’s Beach Scene Has Become
The project is being developed alongside Fundamental Hospitality, continuing a partnership that already stretches across several ventures in the region.
Private cabanas, luxury loungers and direct views of the Arabian Gulf are all part of the plan.
Cipriani has spent decades building a brand around classic Italian hospitality and understated glamour. The beach club gives it an entirely different setting while keeping the familiar details people already associate with the name. Reservations may still be some time away, but 2027 suddenly doesn’t feel that far off.
