1. NCVC Rehabilitates 4.7 Million Hectares Of Floodplains
As revealed by the National Centre for Vegetation Cover Development and Combating Desertification, there has been an advancement in floodplains and Meadows Rehabilitation Initiative. As revealed by SPA, this is for conserving the natural areas and enhancing their sustainability. This comes as they have significant environmental and economic value in Saudi Arabia.
2. Wickerwork Craft Showcased At Jazan Festival 2026
At the Al-Edabi Governorate pavilion at Jazan Festival 2026, the traditional wickerwork is being showcased. This showcases the rich cultural identity of the region. As revealed by SPA, the artisan shows the process of wickerwork. From gathering palm fronds to braiding product, it’s a process that you can’t miss.
3. Community Fitness Activities A Part Of Hatta Winter Initiative
Community fitness activities were held as part of the Hatta Winter initiative. This was set against the mountain backdrop of Hatta. The community fitness took palace suring the Hatta Festival 2025. For this event, a series of outdoor pilates sessions was organised with the aim of promoting physical wellbeing.
4. Young Rangers Cycling Trail Launched
Dubai Municipality has launched the Young Rangers Cycling Trail at Mushrif Hub in Mushrif National Park. This trail has been designed specifically for children who are aged under 12. In fact, as revealed by DXB Media Office, it spans 1.5 kilometres through the forest landscape of the park.

5. Cyber Run & Ride Community Event To Be Organised
The Abu Dhabi Sports Council, as sponsored by the Cyber Security Council, will organise a Cyber Run & Ride community event. This will take place between January 17th and 18th, 2026. It promotes healthy living, digital awareness, and community participation, which is in line with the 2026 objectives.
