Yes, this was revealed by the Abu Dhabi Housing Authority, which has launched an Expression of Interest service. This is effective from January 23rd onwards. It empowers citizens to make their own housing decisions. Moreover, it also enhances their participation in choosing a suitable home, which meets their family requirements.
2. Temperature Falls Further In Oman
Powerful cold air mass has settled over the Sultanate of Oman. As revealed in the report of Gulf News, this has reduced the temperatures with winds sweeping across the governorate since Thursday, January 22. The authority also confirmed that severe weather conditions are expected to persist over the coming days. Moreover, the temperatures are forecast to drop further in the coming days.
3. Over 9.3 Million Passengers Used Sharjah Taxi In 2025
It was recently revealed that the taxi has transported over 9.3 million passengers in 2025. This saw a growth of more than 25% as compared to 2024. As announced by the company, the figures included 9,17,000 passengers who booked rides through the smart application, Yango. Moreover, there were also 7,60,000 passengers who served across the emirate’s Eastern and Central regions.
4. Saudia Announces Offer On Select International Flights
Saudia, which is the national airline of Saudi Arabia, has announced a 20% discount for round-trip and 15% discount for one-way Economy Class Reward Tickets. These will be eligible for redemption on select international destinations. Yes, the offer is valid on destinations like Barcelona, Madrid, Milan, Istanbul, and Rome. However, this offer is only valid on selected Saudia flights. As it happens, the sale is only available until January 31st, and the travel period must be until February 19th, 2026
5. Red Sea Global Sets New Record With LEED Certification
Recently, Red Sea Global revealed that it has achieved unprecedented milestones. This is in their sustainable designs and operation, and according to the SPA, it quoted the Press Release mentioned how the Red Sea International Airport obtained LEED Platinum certification. So basically, this makes it one of the only four airports around the world to attain this distinction.

6. Egypt-Sudan River Transport To Resume
After years long halt, the Egypt-Sudan waterways are resuming. Yes, the river transport between the two countries, which has been suspended for six years, is soon going to be revived. As revealed by the Middle East Monitor, the Nile Valley River Navigation Authority mentioned how preparations are nearly complete to restart this river traffic
7. 21st Hail Toyota International Baja Returns This January
The 21st Hail Toyota International Baja, which is one of the most prominent motorsport events, is returning from January 28th – 31st. Complete with international participation of elite local and international competitors, this rally will be organised by the Saudi Automobile & Motorcycle Federation. As it happens, this year’s edition will bring together several international and regional sanction championships.
8. Turkiye Ski Resort Resorts Overflows With Visitors
During the midterm break, ski resorts in Turkiye were overflowing with visitors. As revealed in a report of the Daily News, it mentioned how, from the slopes of Erciyes, which is in central Anatolia, to the peaks of Zigan, which is in the Black Sea. The premium winter destinations in Turkiye are witnessing an unprecedented influx of holidaymakers.
9. License For Beach Operations In Saudi Arabia Now Mandatory
As revealed by the Scene Now Saudi, the kingdom has introduced a new rule. Basically, this makes licensing mandatory for all beach operations along the Red Sea Coast. The rule has been issued by the Saudi authority and applies to over 1800 km of coastline. No beach-related activity can be conducted without a valid license. It should be noted that the licenses will be issued for a two-year period.
10. Prince William To Visit Saudi Arabia On Official Visit
Prince of Wales, William is all set to make his first visit to Saudi Arabia. He will be visiting the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia from February 9th to 11th, 2026. This will be Prince William’s first official visit to the country. This visit comes as the United Kingdom and Saudi Arabia continue to strengthen trade, investment, and energy relations.
