It was recently revealed that now expats in Kuwait no longer need to stand in a queue at the service centre for renewing their civil ID. Yes, as mentioned in the report of the Indian daily, The Times of India, it was mentioned how the Public Authority for Civil Information has reaffirmed that Kuwaiti citizens and expatriates can complete the renewal process from the comfort of their homes.

Kuwaiti Citizens & Expats Can Renew Civil ID Digitally

As mentioned above, Kuwaiti citizens and expats will be able to complete the renewal process through official channels. Yes, there are four approved channels, which support the wider effort of simplifying the government service and also reducing in-person visits. Confirmed by the PACI, individuals can choose the renewal method, which suits their preference and accessibility the best. With the aim of improving the efficiency and expanding access, it will ensure the uninterrupted delivery of essential civil services.

At this point, it’s worth talking about the four approved channels through which the renewal can be done

Sahel Application

Through this method, users can complete the Civil ID renewal digitally with minimal steps. They can do so through the unified government service application, Sahel.

PACI Website

Another way to do so is by visiting the official website of PACI. Yes, you can visit paci.gov.kw, and through this channel, you will be able to submit your renewal request online and then follow the required procedure. This can be done without the need to visit a PACI service centre.

Through Telephone

The renewal can also be done over the telephone, and applicants can complete the transaction by contacting the designated service numbers. They will be offered a practical solution for individuals who prefer voice-based services and who do not visit online platforms regularly.

Text Message

Not just by telephone, but Civil ID renewal can also be carried out through text message. This is an alternative for users who do not have access to smartphones or internet service.
