1. Guggenheim Abu Dhabi Tickets Are Officially On Sale
Guggenheim Abu Dhabi is getting ready to welcome visitors, with tickets now officially available ahead of its December 11 opening. The Frank Gehry-designed museum is set to become a major addition to the Saadiyat Cultural District, joining institutions including Louvre Abu Dhabi, Zayed National Museum, Natural History Museum Abu Dhabi and teamLab Phenomena. The museum will focus on modern and contemporary art from the 1960s onwards, with 30 galleries connected around a central atrium.
2. UFC Fight Night Is Returning To Doha In November
Fans in Qatar have another big night to look forward to. The event will return to Doha on Saturday, November 21, at ABHA Arena. Tickets are scheduled to go on sale on October 9, with fans able to register their interest in advance through UFC.com/Qatar. The event follows the success of UFC Fight Night in Doha in November 2025, when the arena sold out for the Tsarukyan versus Hooker card.
3. Dubai International Film Festival Is Coming Back

After a decade away, the Dubai International Film Festival is returning on December 8, 2027, for its 15th edition. The revived festival will have a renewed focus on Arab and Middle Eastern cinema, with filmmakers, producers, actors and writers given a platform to showcase their work and connect with audiences and industry professionals. The new format is also designed to support emerging talent through screenings, industry discussions, talent discovery and knowledge exchange.
4. Freebird Adds Germany-To-Aswan Winter Flights
Travellers heading to Egypt have a new route to consider this winter. Türkiye’s Freebird Airlines has launched a daily winter programme connecting Aswan with seven German cities. The first flight arrived from Stuttgart on September 14, with the network also covering Berlin, Düsseldorf, Frankfurt, Munich, Hamburg and Hannover. According to ch-aviation, Freebird is currently the only carrier providing a direct Germany-Aswan connection.
5. Saadiyat Grove Reveals Its New Restaurants And Shops
Abu Dhabi’s Saadiyat Grove is set to open in Q4 2026, bringing more than 100 brands and 20 new-to-region concepts to Saadiyat Island. The open-air lifestyle destination will combine luxury retail, dining, wellness and entertainment. The restaurant line-up includes David Chang’s Momofuku, Alain Ducasse Café and Monsieur Paul, while Dubai favourite Kokoro is also opening a permanent Abu Dhabi location. Nearby at Louvre Residences, Gymkhana, Barrafina and Alica Deli are also set to arrive.
6. Burger King Is Returning To Bahrain
Burger King is set to return to Bahrain, with NAD Holding preparing to bring the global fast-food chain to Sama Bay in Galali, Muharraq, during Q4 2026. The return forms part of a wider plan to introduce international dining and lifestyle brands to the Sama Bay development. Cinnabon is also expected to be among the early brands opening at the destination. The Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority has described the project as part of the development of Sama Bay into an integrated tourism and entertainment destination.
7. Dubai Parks And Resorts Will Reopen In October
Dubai Parks and Resorts is preparing to reopen for a new season on October 7, bringing back its mix of theme parks and entertainment attractions. The destination brings together MOTIONGATE Dubai, Real Madrid World, LEGOLAND Dubai Resort and The World of Riverland. Real Madrid World has more than 40 attractions and experiences, while Riverland is adding a new bowling experience and Lamborghini racing simulators this season. Entry to Riverland starts from Dh25.
8. Ladurée Has A Sweet Saudi National Day Surprise
Ladurée is adding a little sparkle to Saudi National Day celebrations this year. From September 23, customers buying an Eugénie Box 12 at participating Ladurée branches across the Kingdom can find a sealed surprise ticket inside. Prizes include Swarovski earrings, as well as complimentary afternoon tea, coffee or a macaron. Winning tickets can be redeemed at Ladurée branches across Saudi Arabia until September 30, making this one pastry box that comes with an extra reason to open it quickly.

9. Qatar Issues Warning Over Phishing Scams

Qatar’s National Cyber Security Agency has issued an urgent warning about phishing and impersonation scams targeting the public through fraudulent text messages and emails. The agency has advised people to verify the sender’s identity before responding, avoid clicking unknown or unexpected links and not open suspicious files or attachments. The warning specifically highlights scams designed to impersonate trusted government bodies and major companies, so checking a message before clicking is more important than ever.
10. Kichi Kichi Omurice Is Coming To Dubai
Dubai is getting a taste of one of Japan’s most recognisable omurice experiences. Chef Motokichi Yukimura, the chef behind Kyoto’s Kichi Kichi Omurice, will make his UAE debut with a limited pop-up at Mr. Brisket in Jumeirah during the first week of October. Known for his tableside omelette performance, Yukimura will serve his signature dish alongside Mr. Brisket’s slow-smoked meats in a multi-course collaboration created by three chefs. Reserve your table in advance to avoid a missed opportunity.
