There is no doubt that the situation is currently tense in the Middle East. With the escalating situation, people have been advised not to panic. Not to mention, they’ve been advised to stay informed and to follow only the official government channels for news. However, besides the citizens, expatriates from different countries have also been affected. As it happens, the Indian Embassy has released helpline numbers for its citizens across the GCC nations.
Indian Embassy Across The GCC Nations Release Helpline Numbers
Indian Embassies across the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Oman, Kuwait, and Qatar have released helpline numbers that their citizens can contact. Although the situation is tense, embassies in different regions have reiterated that they are working closely with the governments of these countries. Not to mention, it has unanimously called upon the citizens to follow only the official guidelines by the government and the embassy.

More Update From GCC
This development comes at a time when CBSE headquarters has also announced that it is cancelling the board exams in the Middle East for March 2nd. The examination, which was scheduled for March 2nd, has been postponed, and it will be rescheduled for a later date. However, it did mention that the situation will be reviewed on Tuesday, March 3rd to take a call about the exam scheduled for March 5th.
It should be noted that several Indian airlines have also cancelled their flights to the Middle East. SpiceJet, for instance, has cancelled all its flights to and from the UAE until March 2nd. Air India also released its advisory, mentioning how it has cancelled some of its flights due to the situation in the Middle East. This not only includes the flights to Gulf countries, but also other flights, such as those to London, New York, and Frankfurt, to name a few.
