Stretching across 1,400 metres of coastline, the redevelopment turns Jumeirah Beach 1 into a modern, integrated coastal destination, as mentioned in a report by Arabian Business. Over 95 per cent beach is ready towork for the people. The goal is to make the beach easier and more comfortable to use in the city.
Expect wide pedestrian walkways, dedicated cycling and jogging tracks, and clearly defined zones for families. From sports lovers to casual beachgoers, the beach now supports how people actually spend time outdoors in Dubai.
This project also aligns with Dubai Municipality’s wider plan to upgrade public beaches across the emirate. This upgrade is for tourists and residents alike.

Sheikh Hamdan, Crown Prince of Dubai, highlighted Dubai’s continued focus on people-first urban design upon his visit to review the beach. The aim is to provide public spaces with support for wellbeing, accessibility, and sustainability.
As per him, beaches aren’t an additional asset for the Emirate but are essential parts of the city’s quality of life.
Designed For Comfort, Access, And Movement
The revamped beach will now offer new health and service facilities, including modern restrooms, showers, and changing rooms designed with privacy and accessibility in mind. Families, runners, cyclists, and people with determination all benefit from better layouts and planning.
Visitors will witness ease in traffic due to reworked parking with designated spaces for cars and buses, plus electric vehicle charging stations. Seasonal event zones and flexible recreational areas mean the beach can host activities throughout the year.
Smart Tech Meets Beach Safety
Visitors will find wireless internet, electronic information screens, and smart lockers at the Jumeirah 1 beach. Also, AI-enabled rescue and monitoring systems link directly to Dubai Municipality’s central control rooms. So expect improved response times and overall safety.
Jumeirah Beach 1’s reopening is all about Dubai’s plans for the next decade of city living.
