The situation is currently difficult in the Middle East. As it happens, keeping up with these updates is not an easy task, since the situation is also constantly evolving. So, here are some important updates from across the GCC nations that you might have missed. Here’s a bunch of updates that are quite important to take note of.

1. Remote Working Arrangements Extended For Private Sector


As announced by the Ministry of Interior of Qatar, the Private Setor has extended the remote working arrangements. This is in line with the current situation. The remote working arrangements are in place for Monday, March 2nd, 2026. However, those operations which require the presence of the staff to be present on-site are exempt from the remote working arrangements.

2. Online Classes Announced For Oman & Kuwait

The Mussandam Governorate has announced that the schools will operate remotely until the end of the week, as revealed by the Times of Oman. Kuwait Times has also announced that until further notice, there will be an extension of remote learning. So, there will be no need for in-person attendance until further notice.

3. Hamad International Airport Continues Suspension Of Flights


Doha Hamad International Airport has announced that it continues the suspension of flights. The flights will resume once the Qatar Civil Aviation Authority has announced that the airspace is safe for reopening. Until then, passengers are encouraged to continue checking the official channels for the latest updates from the airport.

4. Kuwait Introduces Temporary Restrictions

Temporary safety restrictions have been introduced by Kuwait, as revealed by the Times of India. As revealed by the Ministry of Interior, steps have been taken to safeguard the citizens and residents. With there being a temporary ban on fishing and pleasure boats, the suspension continues to remain in place.

5. Qatar Airways Extends Flight Suspension


Qatar Airways has announced that the flights are suspended further. Yes, the operations are expected to resume when the Qatar Civil Aviation Authority says the Qatari airspace is open. The next update regarding this is expected to be provided by 9 AM Doha time of March 3rd.
